The Blankets
- Who are your main characters of your present WIP? Auuyur-Peikal, a former assassin turned bodyguard under the threat of blackmail from Auuko Okidya, a matron mother who has created alot of enemies for herself. Nalay, a very strange little drow with a taste for blood, and Toyur, a shy lower class girl who discovered she has magic and was promptly sent to the temple to train under Auuko...
- What genre is your story (get specific if you want)? Dark fantasy, probably. Idk what other genres it'd be. Was originally planning for it to be an erotica but Idk if I'll stick with that.
- Quick, you're stuck in an elevator with a stranger. Badly explain your WIP to them in one sentence Stupid elves having blood feuds with each other and a few snakes.
- When did you start writing and why? I started working on my drow a year ago now, because I originally wanted to change the drow from spiders to something else that doesn't trigger arachnophobia... and it spiralled.
- What is your favourite book/author? Magic's pawn by Mercades Lackey. I like romantic fantasy and gay characters, ha.
- What quote from your WIP are you most proud of? Don't quite got one yet :< But a part of my story that I'm rather proud of would have to be how I manage to unknowingly write my feelings about mental illness stigma and the need to be 'strong' and independent. Alot of the characters are fucked beyond repair and they spiral further as they deny needing help, such as Auyur as he declines more and more as he doesn't receive treatment for PTSD.
- If you could see more fiction written about X, what would it be? More fantasy invovling transgender peoples
- What about your writing do you want to improve on most of all? Alllll of it but if I had to pick, probably the actual plot. I struggle with that a bit.
